This paper evaluates RATE(Radioisotopes and the Age of The Earth) project which was conducted by Young Earth Creationism(YEC) supporters from Institute for Creation Research from 1997 to 2005. RATE project is the largest research project(in the size of fund) done by YEC camps. Its core topics covered by them were C-14 in coal and diamond, helium leakage and diffusion from zircon crystals and radioactive halo from polonium and uranium in biotite crystals. The author traced the project through published documents and scrutinized its results, and concluded that most of data that YEC supporters maintained as unquestionable evidence for YEC were misinterpreted.
