SOLAR SPACE HEATING FOR A 25-FAMILY HOUSE RESULTS FROM 2 YEARS OF MEASUREMENTS

ABSTRACT The performance of the hybrid solar system of a multifamily housing, which is the most important one in the North-East part of FRANCE, has been monitored over two years. The system consists of 150 m2 of liquid collectors, a 40 m3 water storage tank and a heat pump on the extracted air circuit. After the first year of monitoring, modification of the DHW circuit improved the solar energy fraction by about 30%. About 25% of the annual energy requirements are covered by the combination of the solar and heat pump systems. The largest benefits from solar energy are for DHW during summer months.
