This paper presents efficient and accurate dynamic models of nonlinear energy storage devices. The concept of restoring and dissipating energy is used to model the hysteresis loop. Losses due to inductive and capacitive reactances as switching frequency increases are incorporated to correctly model the nonlinear characteristics of these devices.
