Soft tissue procedures for reconstruction of tibial shaft fractures.

Seven cases are reported to illustrate the various soft tissue procedures employed for reconstructing severely injured legs with tibial fractures. Microvascular free tissue transfer is a new and often successful solution to some of the most difficult of all lower limb open fractures.
