Experimental and theoretical studies have been performed to investigate vibration of bridges due to running high-speed train in Korea. The investigated structure is 2-span continuous concrete box bridge with spans of 40 m length. We have performed many field tests on the dynamic behaviors of a real bridge for high-speed train using various sensors for three years. Various sensors have been installed on the bridges located at Chung-ju on the line of the track for Korea high-speed train(named KTX). The bridge has been analytically modeled using space frame elements. Through this study, it is known that effects of local modes and sleepers in the box-girder bridge for the KTX on the dynamic responses is remarkable. Therefore, in the investigation on the accelerations of the bridge, three dimensional model should be adopted in numerical analysis including the effect of sleepers. Excessive accelerations on the bridge deck measured in the field test.
