The «Baikal» project — 10 MJ generator of soft X-ray radiation for ICF

The project of laboratory generator <;<;Baikal>;>; - source of soft X-ray radiation by implosion of multiwires array with the current 50 MA and pulse duration 150 ns is considered. The base for project is a flywheel generators and a inductive store TIN-900. The transformation of stored energy in the pulse current is in the process of step-by-step pulse compress in several inductive stores. The investigation of circuit electric pulse generation in TRINITI is realized on the experimental module <;<;MOL>;>;. The goal of creation of <;<;MOL>;>; is test of a explosive and electrically explosive open switches with current up to 1 MA, a inductive store with multiplying of current, a compressor of magnetic field not using explosive materials, a plasma opening switch with voltage up to 5 MV and other physical problems of project.
