Long-wave Irregularity Detection of High-speed Maglev Track

This paper presents a method of detecting the long-wave track irregularity of Transrapid (TR) high-speed maglev based on inertial measuring principle. With this method, an acceleration signal, a velocity signal and a gap signal are required. The acceleration signal and the gap signal were sampled at an equal space interval controlled by the velocity signal. A double integration filter was used to transform the acceleration signal to a displacement signal. And a variable linear phase IIR filter was designed to extract the waveform of long-wave irregularity from the measuring waveform. The test result proves that this method is practicable for detecting long-wave track irregularity of high-speed maglev accurately, the measuring result is also immune to the variation of speed from 150 km/h to 430 km/h, and a single parameter is needed to adjust when extracting various waveforms of long-wave irregularity.
