Parametric studies on the elastic work factor for the CLS specimen

Parametric studies were conducted to see the effects of geometric conditions on the elastic work factor for the CLS specimen. Elastic work factors were calculated in two different ways: numerically using a finite element analysis and analytically from a beam analysis. The results showed that the elastic work factors determined from both methods are comparable. In addition, the results showed that the elastic work factor is not greatly affected by L2L1 but is significantly affected by t1t2.
