Industrial Megaprojects: Concepts, Strategies and Practices for Success

Major engineering and construction projects are growing increasingly important as developed countries renew and extend their existing infrastructure, and rapidly developing countries race to put in place the infrastructure upon which their growth relies (Conway and Lyne, 2006). Nevertheless, the literature on major projects remains sparse, and so the aim here is to provide an extended review and reflection upon an important new contribution to this literature which could, in my view, provide a research agenda for major projects in particular, and for construction and engineering management scholars more generally.
