Freeway Traffic Safety Facilities Evaluation Based on Set Pair Analysis

In order to reasonably evaluate the traffic safety facilities of freeway,a comprehensive evaluation method was proposed based on the set pair analysis.On the basis of the choosing principles and methods for evaluation indexes of freeway traffic safety facilities,an evaluation system was set up,the range interval of each index for different evaluation levels was divided according to relative norms and standards,and the weight of each index was determined by the AHP method.Through calculating the relative degree of "identicalness,differentness and reverse",the safety level of freeway traffic facility was confirmed according to the rule of " maximum relative degree".Finally,a case study was conducted to verify the proposed method.Case study results show that the selected highway traffic safety facilities are at good level and the proposed method provides a scientific foundation of decision making for freeway traffic facilities renovation.
