Bridge management in New York City

Bridge management provides a service (transportation) and a product (the structures). Both can be modeled as networks and concentrated projects. Network tasks are discretized into local projects, whereas projects, in turn, can be modelled as chains of simpler tasks, or as relatively simpler networks. The integration of projects into networks becomes a necessity in an urban setting where multiple physical assets and chains of responsibilities overlap.
