A gateway replication scheme for improving the reliability of mobile-to-grid services

The necessity of interconnection between mobile devices and static grid has grown up. Since the intermittent connection of mobile device is unpredictable, we need a special architecture for providing reliable grid services such as e-health services. In this paper, we introduce a new mobile-to-grid gateway replication (MGR) architecture for improving the reliability of grid services provided to mobile device. In MGR architecture we integrate mobile-to-grid gateway and grid policy quorum based resource management (PQRM) into one compact system. We also proposed a cost-constraints replication algorithm for calculating the optimal number of replication gateways dependent on users' budget and requirements. The performance of proposed architecture is measured by using numerical experiments and simulation results
