Performance analysis of the Bayesian beam former on the CDMA reverse channel

A performance analysis of the Bayesian beam former, that can estimate signals of unknown direction of arrival (DOA), is conducted to investigate its behavior when employed in the CDMA reverse channel. In this paper it is shown a significant improvement in the bit error rate (BER), when the conventional Rake receiver is used in conjunction with the Bayesian beam former. Simulations are carried out in a variety of scenarios for the case where only one user is present and where several interfering users are present
