Modelling and simulation of transmission line to detect single line to ground fault location

Fault occurrence in transmission line is one of the frequent issue for power transmission and distribution system. Determination of fault location is critical and time consuming problem for electrical companies. Accurate fault location ensures power system reliability and also it is helpful for analysis of particular power network. This paper presents an efficient approach to locate single line to ground (SLG) fault using post fault currents and voltages from one terminal and line parameters. The results of SLG fault location demonstrated the validity of proposed approach with high accuracy.
