Kinematic Design of 3-HSS Parallel Machine Tool

s:A structural disposition plan for parallel machine tool is suggested. In the disposition, a parallel mechanism, which can realise three freedoms of parallel motion, is used as main feeding mechanism, with assistance of a rotary table, multi axis NC machining can be realized. Based on such design, a general design solution of parallel machine tool with three freedoms and its kinematic design method are introduced. The theory has been adopted in developing the prototype of machine tool.
