Influences on condom use among undergraduates: Testing the theories of reasoned action and planned behaviour

(From the chapter) we undertook a study to test the major predictions of the theory of reasoned action and the theory of planned behaviour in the context of safer sex [condom use in 160 college students, aged 17-21 yrs] / we are especially interested in the additional predictive power provided by adding measures of perceived behavioural control / we wished to examine the variables of personal, behavioural, and partner norms, possible interactions between normative variables and attitude, and the influence of affect in predicting attitude and intention.
