The findings reported in this paper are based on the study of over ten patients withhydrokeratopathy, two with Meesmann's dystrophy, over fifty with recurrent erosion, four with Cogan's epithelial microcystic dystrophy, and a number of patients with miscellaneous ocular disorders. Patients were examined with the Haag-Streit goo and Zeiss slit lamps. Macrophotographs were taken with the equipment designed by N. Brown (I970). This provides a magnification on film of x IO. 2 per cent. fluorescein sodium and i per cent. rose bengal were used as vital stains.
