Wireless Sensor networks have become very useful in so many applications. Applications such as grape monitoring, insect movement monitoring and etc., that allows connectivity between sensor network and Internet can solve many remote control and monitoring problems. IPv6 over low power WPAN (6lowPAN) protocols are suitable technology that can be adapted in wireless sensor network. The deployment of IPv6 provides a huge address space, which is suitable to address large wireless sensor networks. The outside world that will be interconnecting with 6lowPAN is the IPv6 network where no translational address table is required. In this paper, we implement a gateway that interfaces between 6lowPAN sensor network and IPv6. Various packet sizes are transmitted to measure the performance of the integration of technology of IEEE802.15.4 and wired IPv6 network.
