G mobile communication network will encompass variousaccesstechnologies to provide a heterogeneous environment withIP as thenetworkprotocol. Withinthe heterogeneity framework, thereisa needtocreatemobility standards tosupport seamless roaming amongthevarious access technologies and theadaptive provisioning formultimedia applications. Inthis paper, ananalysis ofcombining FastMobile IPv6andSession Initiation Protocol (SIP) tohandle real-time mobility isproposed. Advanced resource management techniques tosupport Quality ofService (QoS) arealsoconsidered forreal- timemobility withintheNextGeneration network(NGN) platform. Thetechniques mayuseaQoSManager toallow an end-to-end coordination andprovisioning ofQuality ofService. Thefunction oftheQoSManager also includes dynamic allocation ofresources during handover.
