Review of intelligent wheelchair technology control development in the last 12 years

The number of disability in several countries is high and continues to rise. This attracts researching to conduct more research in disability. The limitation of mobility is an important issue to be considered for disabled people so it does not rely on others to do their daily activities. Wheelchair is one of assistive technology which aims to help people who suffered in mobility. Nowdays, wheelchair development is not only limited to manual wheelchairs that need to be driven by its users, but also there is an intelligent wheelchair that is designed to be move automatically making it easier for the user. This paper aims to review of wheelchair technology control development in the last 12 years so that it could give some vision about further research to develop a wheelchair.
