Low Frequency Electromagnetic Radiation and Genetic Aberrations.

Abstract : Adult male Drosophila X(c2) yB/sc(8)y(+) were exposed for 5 days to 75, 60, or 45 Hz, 10v/m and 1 gauss and then mated to y sc(S1) In 49 sc(8); bw; st p(p). The low frequency electromagnetic radiation did not induce any of the following genetic aberrations: sex-linked recessive lethals, translocations between II and III chromosomes, loss of the X or Y chromosomes, non-disjunction, and dominant lethals.
