It is presenting the design of a system of measuring optical absorbance, which is using in aqueous solutions using data acquisition, control and instrumentation virtual LabVIEW graphical language. The software developed allows parallel control of the intensity and wavelength of the light applied to a translucent aqueous solution and measuring optical power. The program displays in real time the position of a servomotor and graphic optical power data as a function of wavelength, it can measure the half-cycle and full cycle for knowing the optical hysteresis also lets you control the time between measurements to consider relaxation phenomena. The applicative generates reports in text files. The results obtained in buffer solutions show a relationship between the optical absorption and pH that projected the development of a new non-invasive method for measuring the pH.
