The physically nonlinear analysis of the space truss was studied by the developed computer program. The analysis method of physically nonlinear structures is presented using an iteration procedure based upon the change in the load vector of a given problem. The method's speed of convergence to the final solution is increased by introducing a relaxtion factor dependent on the type of the nonlinear member which has reached the allowable buckling force.A numerical example illustrates the accuracy and the efficiency of the developed computer program, NONST. Its result is compared with that of the general program, MSC/NASTRAN and GTSTRUDL.
