Design and development of secured m-healthcare system

Healthcare is the preservation of mental and physical health by preventing or treating illness through services offered by the health profession. Many methods are available but the growing technology and current trends make them inefficient. In order to make this Healthcare as a pervasive one we introduce an efficient method, Mobile health care system. This Mobile Healthcare is the “Emerging mobile applications and network technologies for healthcare systems. This emerging technology in the field of healthcare helps the practitioners, researchers and patients to access the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) from any location through the mobile phone by accessing the information from the remote database, which lags in providing security. Therefore accessing of information from the remote database should be a secured one, it should be a secured access and the persons accessing them should be a authorized one. We propose a secure based mobile healthcare system, which includes authentication and access control. The authentication is based upon the types of users who is authorized to use the application. Security here is provided through the process of Encryption and data are retrieved through decryption. This secured system will provide security in delivering the EMR of patients. Implementation here is done by using J2ME software and for database Oracle is used. A Wi-Fi enable mobile is used for data as well as image retrieval.
