In MW-Mile and the related methods, the branch power change caused by node power must be known. Current methods to determine the branch power change are DC method and the boundary method, however, they are not correct theoretically. By using the traditional power flow solution results, the node generation powers and load powers are modeled by constant impedance and current source, respectively. The equalized generation impedance is connected to the related nodes, by using the Kirchoff 抯 laws and solving the network current equation, the node voltage is expressed as the function of node load power. Similarly, the node voltage is also expressed as the function of node generation power. Further, the branch power and loss can be allocated to node generation power or node load power by using the proposed theory of contribution of variables to nonlinear function value. Detailed results are presented.
