Curriculum guidelines for undergraduate degree study programs in computer engineering

ACM and the IEEE Computer Society have released their computer engineering curriculum guidelines in December of 2016. The report, tagged CE2016, reflects current computer engineering education and practice that would be relevant for the next decade. The report gives specific examples and methods of mapping teaching units in study programs and addressing the expected requirements from a scientific point of view. This paper provides an overview of the report CE2016 and aims to provide a way to implement these guidelines in the study programs of computer engineering.
