WLC18-5: Power Spectral Density of Convolutionally Encoded Biorthogonal Pulse Position Modulated Time Hopping UWB Signals

The power spectral density (PSD) of convolutionally encoded biorthogonal pulse position modulated (BPPM) time hopping (TH) ultra wideband (UWB) signals is derived. Our formulation is based on a Moore machine representation of the coding procedure and its equivalent Markov chain. The model provides for pseudo random time hopping (TH) traditionally used for multiple access purposes.
