Resource Optimization for Uncertain Traffic Demand in Multi-radio Multi-channel Wireless Networks

Multi-radio multi-channel wireless network is one of the trends for future wireless network, which has the characteristics of multiple interfaces, multiple channels and multiple hops. The channels and links resource optimization in such network is a joint optimization problem of routing, channel allocation and link scheduling. In the existed related works, the network traffic was simply assumed to be stable and known a prior. However, it is known that there are always some uncertainties in real network traffic. In this paper, a joint optimization model for network throughput maximization is proposed under the constraints of transmission flows, resources and interference. With the optimal solution with uncertain input traffic, a link schedule scheme is also proposed. Simulation results show that our solution has better performance for uncertain traffic demand.
