A BDS static positioning drift correction algorithm for dangerous goods transportation

A correction algorithm for reducing Beidou system(BDS) static positioning drift in dangerous goods transportation was proposed and experimental validated in this paper. First, the positioning principle and precise point positioning(PPP) was briefly introduced, and the error sources which effect positioning and positioning drift were analyzed; Then, some threshold values were set based on experience to judge vehicles status and a moving average correction algorithm was proposed to reduce the modelling error in post-process, and then this proposed algorithm was realized via a microprocessor; Finally, experiments were conducted to verify the feasible of the proposed algorithm. Furthermore, in order to evaluate the effectiveness and easy-to-implement of the proposed correction algorithm, trace curves of the largest static draft distance and the largest distance between the two ends were demonstrated and followed with a comparison between the original data of navigation and the data after correction.
