Research and Implementation of an Algorithm for Online Handwritten Chinese Characters Recognition

On-line handwritten Chinese character recognitic n(OLCCR)refers to that the computer can recognize Chinese characters while people are writing on a data tablet. It's a convenient means by which people can input Chinese characters. This paper introduces an approach to recognize online handwritten Chinese characters, which based on getting sequence of line segments. This algorithm is be implemented by a kind of visual program tool—Visual C++6.0. As a result of testing, the average recognizing rate is 95.7%.
