Cognitive beamforming using genetic algorithm

Recently, secondary opportunistic utilization of the radio spectrum through cognitive radio (CR) techniques has become a promising technology to improve the radio electromagnetic spectrum utilization [1], [2]. CR technology provides the capability to share the wireless channel with a primary network to which the spectrum is initially licensed. While a CR network try to guarantee quality of service (QoS) requirements of the cognitive or secondary users (SUs), it should avoid harmful interference to the licensed primary users (PUs) [3].
