Optimization of Decolorization of Aniline Blue Dye by White-rot Fungus Bjerkandera fumosa XX-3

An experiment on the effect of carbon source, nitrogen source, metal ion and salinity on the degradation of aniline blue by Bjerkandera fumosa XX-3 was carried out under statically air-opened condition. The results showed that the optimum concentration for carbon source(malonate) was 2.0 g/L,4.0 g/L for nitrogen source(ammonium chloride),0.10 mmol/L for metal ion(cadmium),and less than 4.0 g/L for salinity.Under every optimum condition above, the decolorization rate of aniline blue could reach over 80% when the concentration of aniline blue was 100 mg/L.Thus,this strain had a good potential of treating dyeing wastewater dominated by aniline blue.
