Method and system for eliminating terminal password

The invention relates to a method for eliminating a terminal password. The method comprises the following steps of: receiving a message sent by a server side by a terminal; extracting a reset password from the message; canceling the message; and verifying whether the reset password is legal, and if so, eliminating an original password of the terminal. According to the method for eliminating the terminal password, the reset password is extracted form the message sent by the server side, the message is automatically cancelled after the reset password is extracted, and the original password of the terminal is eliminated according to the reset password, therefore the password cannot be escaped outwards in the whole password eliminating process, an algorithm of generating the reset password according to cracking of the reset password is avoided, and therefore the information safety is enhanced. Furthermore, the invention also provides a system for eliminating the terminal password.
