Relevé 3D couleur d'escarres par un appareil photo numérique

The aim of ESCALE project is to supply the medical staff with a powerful 3D imaging toolbox in order to obtain high-level description of bedsores from simple color images acquired in a free manner with a low cost digital camera. 3D reconstruction of the wound from non-calibrated views and tissue state evaluation based on color segmentation are intended to provide a 3D model of the wound with natural texture mapping. A graphical user interface based on the clinician requirements should enable an accurate tracking of the healing process and its better understanding as there is actually no practical means to obtain precise wound description during routine examination.
