Thermal brillouin scattering measurements of the attenuation of longitudinal hypersounds in fused quartz from 77 to 300 K.

Abstract The results of measurements of velocity and attenuation of longitudinal hypersounds in fused quartz are given for frequencies of about 25 and 34 GHz, in the range 77–300 K. Some consequences of these new determinations are shortly outlined.
