Performance of a Partially Shared Buffer with Correlated Arrivals

We assess the performance of a partially shared bottleneck buffer for scalable video. The arrival process of the video packets is modelled by means of a two-class discrete batch Markovian arrival process. Using a matrix-analytic approach, we retrieve various performance measures. We illustrate our approach by means of a numerical example.
