NASICON-type Fe2(MoO4)3 thin film as cathode for rechargeable sodium ion battery

Abstract NASICON-type Fe 2 (MoO 4 ) 3 thin films have been fabricated by magnetron sputtering and are firstly investigated as positive electrode materials for sodium ion battery. It shows a higher reversible sodium storage capacity of approximately 91 mAh g − 1 and better cycling stability compared to those of bulk Fe 2 (MoO 4 ) 3 electrode. Our results have demonstrated that Fe 2 (MoO 4 ) 3 in the form of nanostructure such as thin film can significantly improve its electrochemical performance for sodium ion battery.
