Review of systematic methods of multi-level inverter topology optimization

In order to get the best performance within fewer components,or obtain the optimal structure of the circuit when one technical or economic indicator is optimal or near optimal,engineers and technicians continue to improve the multi-level inverter topology.The current study has remained mostly on simple improvements or experimental attempts method,and has not a systematic and theoretical approach so far.Some inverter topology optimization methods were summarized with certain versatility,and then the application of optimization theory was introduced,especially the genetic programming in the circuit automatically design optimization.Finally,a common optimization method based on the multi-level inverter optimal design was attempted to be explored.
