Method and system for processing terminal trigger message, and related network element

Disclosed is a method for processing a terminal trigger message, which comprises: a mobility management entity (MME) or serving GPRS support node (SGSN) removing a corresponding terminal trigger message after deactivating an idle-state signaling reduction (ISR) function. Also disclosed are a system for processing a terminal trigger message and a related network element. In the present invention, since the MME or SGSN can rapidly remove a corresponding terminal trigger message after deactivating the ISR function, the waste of network storage resources is avoided.
