The invention discloses a method for assessing the supporting strength of a station in a multiple direct current (DC) point setting system to inverter station voltages. The method includes the steps of establishing the simulation model of a to-be-researched multiple DC point setting electric grid; switching reactive-load compensation equipment with a certain volume at an ith station of the electric grid, analyzing the changing conditions of bus voltages of each inverter station in a simulated mode, and calculating the difference delta ui, j of the voltages of each inverter station before and after the reactive-load compensation equipment is put into use; calculating the supporting strength of the station i to the voltages of each inverter station; and repeating the above steps until the equation that i=M is met, and using a maximum value as a guide and a reference index for arranging the reactive-load compensation equipment. A voltage change per-unit value of a conversion current bus of each inverter station caused by switching the reactive-load compensation equipment with the certain volume at a specified station is calculated, and then a supporting strength index VSF of each station to the voltages of the inverter stations is obtained, and accordingly, the size of a supporting function of each station to the voltages of the inverter stations is assessed so as to be used as the guide and the reference index for a reactive-load compensation equipment arranging scheme.
