Success stories in simulation in health care

Healthcare is a rapidly changing industry, and facilities are struggling to find tools to enhance their ability to keep up with the change. Healthcare staff have generally adapted well, however are rarely in agreement as to how to migrate to a new environment, whether physical, functional or both. Simulation allows significant exploration of multiple options, without spending enormous amounts of money on staff, training, equipment, and most importantly, without risking possible degradation in the level of healthcare. This paper will describe the use of simulation in pre-op procedures, space utilization and outpatient studies. 1 PRE-OPERATION PROCEDURES
