Design of fuzzy iterators to generate chaotic time series with assigned Lyapunov exponent

In recent years the foremost questions regarding chaotic systems have mainly concerned the detection of chaotic dynamics, their characterisation and control. On the basis of a linguistic description of the chaotic phenomena, the authors present a new methodology for designing nonlinear iterators that generate chaotic time series with an assigned Lyapunov exponent.
