Rule of Synergistic Action of Curvature Radius and Pier Stiffness of Curved Bridge

The inner force and deformation of high pier continuous rigid frame bridge are influenced not only by the beam′s curvature radius, but also by the pier stiffness. However, research on the synergistic action of the two factors is rare. By virtue of ANSYS, FEM software, the differences at inner force and deformation of the model with different curvature radius and pier stiffness are obtained in this paper. Moreover, the internal relation between the differences and the two factors are extracted also. It is hoped that some references can be provided for the future design, especially for selection of rational curvature radius and pier stiffness.
