Remote and Relay Synchronization

In this chapter, two related phenomena, remote and relay synchronization, are dealt with. They are first illustrated in simple motifs (chains and star-like configurations) and, then, in arbitrary random networks of heterogeneous oscillators. The case of networks with identical node dynamics in the presence of symmetries is also briefly illustrated.
