Type I familial amyloid polyneuropathy in a Chinese family

ABSTRACT— A Chinese family with at least 3 members having the typical clinical picture of type I familial amyloid polyneuropathy is presented. The pathological features, including the immunohistochemical typing of the amyloid deposits, are described and the literature is briefly reviewed.
