A new technology for manufacturing imperious canals with FRP is developed based on the good performance of FRP in seepage control, anticorrosion, and anti microorganism. The optimum section, suitable mix proportion, and shaping technique are studied for the FPR canal, and the technique of on site laying and installation of the imperious FPR canal is developed . Besides, the merits of the FRP canal are analyzed: the loss of water in water conveyance in the imperious FRP canal is smaller than 1‰ per kilometer, and the life span of the canal can reach 20 years. In comparison with the concrete canal, the overflowing capacity of the FPR canal increases by 50%, the investment in construction is reduced by 10%~20%, and land occupied decreases by 1/3.
