Hexagonal Boron Nitride Single Crystal Growth at Atmospheric Pressure Using Ni-Cr Solvent

High-quality bulk hexagonal boron nitride single crystals were successfully synthesized in a Ni−Cr solvent at atmospheric pressure. The crystals were colorless and transparent and showed strong band-edge emission near 215 nm at room temperature.
