Design of seven‐pole LPF with high suppression of harmonics using DGS

The LPF is designed with defected ground structure (DGS) and broadened transmission line elements with very low impedance. A seven pole DGS-LPF for GSM applications is found to gives deeper attenuation than provided by the previous published work. The length of DGS-LPF is reduced to 41.5% compared with conventional LPF. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
