Cross layer approach for energy minimization in Wireless Sensor Networks

In Wireless Sensor Network the nodes' energy consumption must be minimized. In this paper, we analyze the cross-layer energy efficient model which includes Physical layer, MAC layer and Routing layer. We propose a cross layer routing approach and a comparison analysis of the effect of periodic awake/sleep periods on network lifetime with different modulation schemes in the energy realm.
