Research of Particle Image Velocimetry Test about Minibus

To research the aerodynamic characteristics of minibus and validate the results of numerical simulation,Particle Image Velocimetry(PIV)is applied to measure a flow field of 1∶5 simplified model in the wind tunnel.It includes the cross section,portrait section and z-section.The test results are analyzed in comparison with results of CFD.At the same time,it is applied to show the flow state when the laser of PIV lightens the frog.The results discover the airflow conditions around the minibus and validate the veracity of numerical simulation.It provides references for taking aerodynamic tests of car models in low air speed.
